We live and work here

We've run our shop in Astoria since 1995, long enough to have worked on the same buildings for different owners and to know what the doors on a lot of these blocks look like inside.

Astoria is a mix of pre-war walk-ups, two- and three-family houses, newer rentals and busy storefront corridors on Steinway Street, 30th Avenue, Broadway and Ditmars Blvd. That means a lot of mortise locks on old apartment doors, front doors on houses that need a proper deadbolt, and shop owners who need their gate and storefront locks to work every morning.

Because we're local, a lot of Astoria work starts at the counter: copying a building fob, rekeying a cylinder you bring in, or picking out the right lock before we install it.

Astoria FAQ

Other areas we serve

Can I just walk into the shop?

Yes. We're at 18-17 Astoria Blvd and open 7 days, 8am to 5pm. Key cutting, fob copies and many cylinder rekeys are done while you wait.

Do you work on two-family houses?

Yes. Front door deadbolts, separate keying for each unit, and intercoms for two- and three-family homes are some of our most common Astoria jobs.

Can I bring my lock in to be rekeyed?

Yes. Take the cylinder out or bring the whole lock, and we can rekey it at the counter in most cases.
